The Initiative will not copy international city models without context. It will identify relevant expertise, standards, technologies and financing approaches, then adapt them to local institutions, climate, communities, operating capacity and affordability.

NNGCI works with state governments and MDAs to assess urban priorities, qualify project opportunities, prepare State Green Cities Opportunity Reports and connect selected projects with suitable technical, finance and implementation partners.
